The pain Blake felt immediately rushed to his brain. People aren't kidding when they say love hurts. Blake's mouth filled with the taste of blood and desire. It was this desire that got Blake to this place. Where there is desire there is going to be a flame and where there is a flame someone is bound to get burned. But let me go back and start from the beginning.

After Blake fell down the stairs a paramedic was called to check if he was alright. He was fine but he still had to be checked out. Cory was trying so hard not to laugh the whole time. It was funny the way the on set paramedics who were about a foot shorter than Blake rushed over to check on him. Blake insisted that he was fine but on the inside he wasn't.

Blake was fighting these new feelings he was now having for Cory. He didn't want to forget him so easily but Cory's face as he tried to look serious while hiding the fact that he wanted to burst out laughing did something to Blake. It made him smile. Blake hadn't smiled in weeks but ever since he moved in with Cory, all he wants to do was smile.

Once the paramedics let him go Blake walked back to Cory's trailer. Cory wasn't there so he sat on the couch and took out his phone hoping that maybe he had called or texted but to Blake's surprise there was a crack on his phones screen running straight down the middle of the screen.

The background picture that Blake had on is phone was a picture that he took of him while they were hanging out in L.A. and the way the picture and crack were positioned it made Blake realized how he felt. He was torn in two just like the picture on his phones screen.

Blake went through the pictures he had of himself and him and in every picture the crack was the one thing in-between them tearing them apart. Was this destiny's way of saying they were over? Blake asked himself. But before he could answer his own question Cory walked in and Blake quickly turned off the phones screen and his picture quickly faded away. 

"Hey dude did you have a nice trip?" Cory asked with a smile on his face.

Blake laughed.

"Yeah I'm thinking about taking another one next Fall." Blake answered and they both laughed out loud.

"I got you something that will make you feel better." Cory said as he revealed a small box of doughnuts he was hiding behind his back.

Blake and Cory ate the doughnuts as they talked about acting and Cory told Blake how Glee has changed his life. Glee had the ability to change Blake's life forever but Blake's life has already been changed before, on The Glee Project. He changed his life forever.

Blake looked into Cory's eyes as he spoke and the honesty Blake saw in Cory's eyes filled the pieces of Blake's broken heart with hope. Blake felt alive again just sitting on the couch talking to Cory.

Cory's phone rang. He looked at the screen to see who was calling and Cory just declined the call and turned off his phone.

"Girl trouble?" Blake asked.

Cory looked at Blake and nodded a yes.

"I need a drink." Cory said.

Cory got up off the couch and went to the fridge to get two cans of sodas. Cory opened one can and handed it to Blake. For a second Blake and Cory's hands touched. As soon as their hands touched static electricity shocked both of them. Blake dropped the soda and it spilled all over the couch.

Blake and Cory scrambled to grab the can of soda before it emptied out completely onto the couch.

"I'm so sorry dude." Blake said as he got up off the couch to get some paper towels.

"Don't worry about it." Cory said.

Blake placed the paper towel on top of the spill to soak up the soda.

"I hated that couch. Now I can get a new one." Cory added.

"I really am sorry man." Blake said as he looked at Cory.

"It's okay, really, don't worry about it. It's getting late you should get some sleep. You can crash in my room I'm going to go out for a while I'm not sure when I'll be back.” Cory said.

Cory grabbed a jacked from a rack and put it on.

"I'll be back later." Cory added.

"Okay, I'll see you later then." Blake said as Cory left the trailer.

Blake was tired and he did want to rest after his trip down the stairs he had a few aches and pains that a couch would only make worse. So Blake decided to go into Cory's room and he let his body fall onto the bed. Cory's bed was so soft that it felt like Blake had landed on a cloud.

Blake exhaled hard and all his aches and pains left his body also. When he inhaled he took in Cory's scent. It was different from his. Blake closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Blake dreamed of Cory. He wanted Cory but did Cory want him back? He asked himself over and over again. In Blake's dream Cory walked up to him and looked directly into his eyes. Cory placed his hands on opposite sides of Blake's face and leaned in to kiss him. Blake was standing on a cloud and he closed his eyes as Cory continued leaning in slowly to kiss him. As their lips got closer together Blake could feel Cory's breath as he got even closer. Right when their lips were about to touch Blake woke up.

There was a loud bang on the door. Blake got up still sleepy and a bit mad about being awakened form his dream. Blake looked out the peephole to see who it was, it was Cory. Blake opened the door to let him in, Cory stumbled inside. Cory was drunk. Blake quickly grabbed him so he wouldn’t trip and fall. Blake looked into Cory’s eyes, he had been crying.

“Are you okay?” Blake asked.

“Yeah I’m fine.” Cory answered as he tried his best to stand up straight.

Cory looked at Blake and he saw Blake’s worried face. Blake noticed how Cory was trying his best to keep a straight face just like when he fell but this time it wasn’t laughter he was holding in it was tears. Cory tried but failed. His tears burst out of him and he reached out to hug Blake. Blake was not sure what was going on but he hugged Cory back. Cory continued crying as Blake hugged him tighter.

“It’s okay.” Blake whispered.

Blake continued hugging Cory tightly, as Blake inhaled Cory’s scent he remembered his dream, the dream Cory interrupted, no not interrupted. Cory made it real. Blake pulled away to look at Cory’s face. Cory looked back at Blake.

“I’m sorry man.” Cory said as he wiped his tears away.

Blake just looked at him and without thinking Blake kissed Cory! The kiss lasted only about two seconds but it was enough to confirm that these new feeling Blake had were real. Cory’s lips pressed softly against Blake’s and it made Blake feel warm all over. When they pulled away Blake wanted another kiss, he longed for that soft warmed again but what he got was a punch to the face.  

Cory punched him and Blake fell onto the still wet couch. Then Cory left the trailer as Blake sat there on the couch. Blake’s mouth filled with the taste of blood and desire. Blake smiled, because for the first time since he left Blake felt pain again, pain that was not caused by him.
